This year to celebrate this, please can children come into school in non-school uniform, wearing something red (if they have it). This could be clothing or an accessory for example; socks, a hairband or a t-shirt.
Please can we ask children bring in a donation of up to £1 for Comic Relief.
All the children will take part in a red-nose based drawing competition during school time.
St Martin's will be celebrating World Book day on Friday 8th March. On this day, we encourage your children to come to school dressed up as their favourite book characters, sparking creativity and enthusiasm for literature (this can be anything book related, we are not asking parents to buy costumes for this occasion).
Additionally, this year we are going for the theme, 'Reading for Pleasure'. We invite pupils to bring in their favourite books (with their names labelled inside). This will not only allow them to share their love for reading but also contribute to a day filled with the joy of reading.
We look forward to celebrating the magic of books and fostering a love for reading with your children on Friday, 8th March. Thank you for continued support.
Children's Mental Health Week will take place 5th - 11th February 2024, with the theme of 'My Voice Matters'.
In school we will be re-visiting the 5 steps to wellbeing with the children and using the Zones Of Regulation to support them in understanding, labelling and regulating their emotions.
