Y5 led a wonderful Remembrance Service for the school on 10th November.

In preparation for the Service, all the Y5 children wrote their own Ode to Remembrance Day poems - some were shared during the service

Well done Year 2 who led our Harvest Festival Assembly.  A huge thank you to everyone at St.Martin’s for supporting and donating to the local Weston Foodbank.

'Girls on Track Event': an initiative to inspire and encourage girls to consider the opportunities for women in the world of motorsport. Miss Chedzoy took a group of 10 pupils from St Martin's who enjoyed an amazing and inspiring day! Thank you to Weston Museum and Mercedes Weston.                      18th September 2023

Well dpne Hedgehog class who were recognised by local author Katie Cottle for their 'Blue Giant' collage which Miss Grey shared with the author.  They received a Thank You letter from Katie Cottle.

Reception visit Berkeley Castle as part of their topic "Who lives in a Castle?"
They had a guided tour of the Castle and found out lots of interesting facts!



E shared a story with Reception children as part of their Guided reading in Term 5.
3E loved reading to Reception and hope to do it again soon!

Class 5E STEM Workshop led by Miss Chadwick, UWE: March 2022
Working as Engineers to design and create the strongest bridge with 10 lolly sticks, 15 pieces of sticky tape and 1 piece of newspaper. They were amazed that most of them could hold up to 3kg!

Christmas Lunch Days - these were a huge success at the end of Term 2




Reception children enjoying stories from their Teachers, learning new sounds, taking on new Maths challenges, practising phonics and reading skills during their home learning.  They also joined in 'Odd Socks Day' during Anti-Bulling Week.     (18th November 2020)



During Anti-Bullying Week - children made bullying stop signs for their classroom windows.  The whole school also celebrated 'Odd Socks Day' to help us raise awareness.  

Our new ‘Read A Rainbow’ display created by Mrs Brown our school librarian -
hoping to continue to inspire a love of reading in our children

2.6 challenge:  On Sunday 26 April when the 40th London Marathon would have been held, some photos of our pupil’s who completed their various challenges:

Noah class 3E - skipped 26 times on his trampoline!  

Lewis and Isla, Ash and Pine classes cycled 26 times around the pond in Clarence Park. 

Isabella 5JC cycled 2 x 2.6 miles. 

Dexter Y1 Chestnut and Chace 3HC - 26 star jump challenge.

Evie Reception Elm class - walk/run of 2.6 miles around Worlebury Golf Course.

Lola class 4O and Mrs Kelly support staff, 26 miles in 1 week - combination of cycling and running.

Ms Somers admin staff, covered 2.6 miles Monks Hill and Milton Hill


"A huge well done to everyone involved in supporting the UK charities fundraising event and they received some lovely messages of thanks from their chosen charities".

Our staff team and group of children created this beautiful piece of art and message which was displayed in our foyer area!
