At St. Martin's, we aim for all children to be technically skilled in Art and able to produce work to a high standard. Children are practised and experienced in using art as a well-being tool. We believe that our curriculum design has the potential to achieve this through the direct teaching of specific skills that have been carefully planned to ensure progression and repetition. With assessment and child progression folders, we believe teachers will be easily able to build on current learning, support and identify areas which need development, and can pinpoint areas which need to be challenged or stretched.
