At St. Martin’s, Design and Technology is a valued and integral part of our curriculum. Our DT curriculum is built around key principles that encourage children to research, explore, investigate and develop ideas, while gaining confidence in using tools, designing, making and evaluating. Through practical experiences, including food technology, woodwork and textiles, pupils develop creativity, resilience and essential life skills. Learning is progressive and purposeful, with skills that transfer across the curriculum and support children both in school and in everyday life.
