Pastoral Support and Welfare

During the current Covid19 period, we appreciate that there is a lot going on with many different changes in a very short time.  Our staff are here to help - please ring or message us if you need to Tel:  01934 628651.

If your child needs support with wellbeing, Mrs Wood (Welfare and Attendance Officer), Mrs Chaplin and Mrs Patrick (Learning Mentors) can all offer support with wellbeing.  You or your child can email them on wellbeing@stmartinsschool.org.uk if you need to discuss worries or concerns.

At St Martin's we have a Welfare and Attendance Officer whose role is to support transition into our school, between classes, transition into secondary school and to support children who are vulnerable for whatever reason so that they can access learning in a classroom situation.  The role also extends to supporting the Headteacher with Safeguarding and Child Protection issues and by monitoring and enforcing the school's Attendance and Behaviour Policies.

If you would like to make an appointment to meet with the Welfare and Attendance Officer then please contact the school office Te. 01934 628651.

St Martin's School has Pastoral Support Workers in both Reception, KS1 and KS2 who help children overcome behavioural, social and emotional problems that are affecting their learning.  Mrs Chaplin is Learning Mentor for Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3 children.  Mrs Patrick is Learning Mentor for Years 4, 5 and 6 children.
